Meeting FAQ's

  • Who are the meetings open too?

    Everyone.


    Whether you are currently diagnosed or looking into the diagnosis, a friend or a family member, a support worker or even someone that wants to learn more about the who we support, you are welcome to attend.

  • Do I have to register to join the meetings?

    No.


    We do not require any registration to attend our support meetings.

  • Do I have to attend every meeting?

    No.


    Meetings are scheduled as an open-door policy, you many come to as many or as little of them as you wish. There is no issue if you cannot attend any of the meetings.

  • I can't attend today, who do I inform?

    You don't need to inform anyone of your attendance.

  • I can't attend the full session, can I leave early / join late?

    Yes.


    Although our meetings are 2 hours in duration, you may join / leave as you wish.

  • Can I bring a carer?

    Yes.


    Carers and young carers are welcome at the meetings.

  • How much is the meetings?

    Everyone's first meeting is FREE and carers / young carers are always FREE.


    Further meetings are subject to £3.50 subs.

  • Where are the meetings held?

    All our meetings are held in the Community Room at Morrisons Denton.

  • I'd like to attend, but I am not well enough?

    No Issue.


    We offer online meetings that can be found in our Facebook Group and on Microsoft Teams.

  • When is the next meeting?

    All details of dates and times of meetings can be found in our calendar here.


    We also have reminders posted in our Facebook group and Discord server.

  • What happens if a meeting is cancelled?

    Announcements on any cancellations of meetings will be put on our Facebook group, here and our Discord server.

  • Can I bring snacks to the meeting?

    Yes, you can bring snacks to the meeting as we know people with chronic illnesses must check blood sugar, blood pressure or salt intake etc.

  • Are the meetings confidential?

    Yes, all meetings are confidential. 

  • Is the site of the meetings Disabled friendly?

    Yes, Morrisons has facilities like disabled toilets, rented wheelchairs, seating, AC and disabled parking. 

  • Is there any Disabled parking?

    Yes, disabled parking is provided all you need to do sign your vehicle at the reception, so you don’t get a ticket. Alongside this there will be a separate sheet to sign yourself in on for the group. 

  • Can I donate to the meetings / charity in anyway?

    Yes, we have a PayPal donation account that’s attached to our website.
